Our Advocacy & Care

Projects

  • ​Partnership with Biomedical Student Access Alliance: Connect young people with community service opportunities and introduce students to health advocacy through community-based programming.

  • Language-Accessible Puzzle Toolkits & Newsletters: Design and distribute multilingual puzzles and brain-health resources in partnership with senior homes and community organizations.

  • Art Program @ Brooke Grove Retirement Village (and other senior communities): Facilitate intergenerational art workshops and evaluate art-based programming as a supportive tool for memory, wellbeing, and connection through research.

  • Film Screenings (“I Remember Better When I Paint”): Host screenings and companion art workshops to raise dementia awareness through creative engagement; collaborated with two film festivals.

  • Civic & Policy Engagement (Maryland): Participate in leadership/fellowship training and conduct research on Maryland Medicaid policy and coverage; support voter education and community outreach initiatives.

  • The Celebrating Art contest: High Merit & accepted for publication (link)

  • Congressional Art Competition: runner up & displayed in Rep. Raskin’s District Office for a year (link 1; link 2; link 3)
