Our Story
As neurodegenerative diseases are on the rise, it is crucial to prevent cognitive decline in elders, especially because there is no known cure for these diseases; thus, prevention more important than ever.

AgeAcuity creates puzzles and toolkits designed to strengthen brain function for older adults. Our activities can be adapted across different languages, allowing seniors to exercise memory and cognition in the language they feel most comfortable in. Research has shown that cognitively engaging activities like puzzles can support memory, strengthen thinking skills, and promote cognitive health at any age.

AgeAcuity also builds intergenerational connections by engaging students and young volunteers in meaningful, community-based work. Through advocacy and outreach, we raise awareness around neurodegenerative disease and share practical, research-informed strategies that support cognitive wellness. Our programming includes educational events, senior art workshops that foster creativity and connection, and ongoing efforts to evaluate and improve our resources over time. We expand our impact through student-led chapters, empowering young people to lead local initiatives and bring accessible brain health activities to older adults in their communities.

AgeAcuity is rooted in the belief that neuroscience-informed education and accessible cognitive activities should be available to the most vulnerable members of our community. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, our mission is to expand support for individuals and families affected by neurodegenerative disease through research, advocacy, outreach, and care—ultimately helping build a more age-friendly world.
